Mr. Charles Osei is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with 10 years of experience in managing IT projects, involving business process improvement, system development and testing, and risk management. As a professional, Charles works closely, advises, and guides businesses and federal information security and technology leadership teams in accomplishing risk management goals of providing standardized approach to security and centralized platform for information systems with multiple iterations or greater enterprise outreach, while working with risk owners collaboratively including senior executive leaders in the development of metrics to manage information security and technology functions and program level risks.
Charles has successfully and effectively helped to manage enterprise-wide Information Security and Risk Management programs using globally-accepted industry standards like the NIST Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF), Cybersecurity Security Framework (CSF) for both federal agencies and private sector organizations such as the, Department of Energy, US Census Bureau 2020 Decennial Project, Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), Fidelity Investments, North West Federal Credit Union, and Slamm Technologies, LLC to achieve high quality outcomes, thereby limiting risks and minimize additional resource expenditures.
Prior to joining System 1, Inc, Charles was instrumental in providing advisory, consulting, and contracting services to several strategic level IT organizations like Maximus, Marcelle Consultants/eGlobal Technologies, Slamm, Technologies, IP Network Solutions. Inc and Ampcus. Charles also received a Master’s degree in Business Management and Leadership from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA and Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Company Law from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Charles holds several IT Security Professional Certifications as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), and CompTIA Security+.
